Teach 3–9 credit hours. Courses are primarily Principles of Marketing; other courses may include International Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and additional marketing offerings. Most assigned affiliate class sections are on campus; there is a limited need for highly qualified instructors to teach MBA courses. Participate in program assessment activities, as assigned. Be available for consultation with students. Work and interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff. Assigned affiliate class sections can be in person or online. An affiliate faculty member’s duties include teaching assigned classes in person or online, delivering course content, preparing materials and lesson plans, grading, providing timely feedback, addressing student questions, and offering academic support as needed. Duties also include maintaining office hours, aligning with course syllabi and department policies, and complying with university evaluation policies. The ability to adapt to new modes of instruction is encouraged. Candidates should be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population. Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in the field in which the faculty member is assigned to teach. Professional experience current at the time of hire, substantial in duration and responsibility, and clearly linked to the teaching field (normally at least ten consecutive years with increasing responsibility and supervisory experience). For graduate teaching, normally twenty consecutive years of professional experience with senior-level responsibilities. If the Master’s degree is outside the teaching field, substantial professional experience in the discipline is encouraged. Affiliate faculty members must maintain professional qualifications. Preferred Qualifications

Evidence of quality teaching in higher education. Terms of Employment

Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired to teach on a per-credit-hour basis for specific classes, usually on a semester-by-semester basis. Affiliate faculty are not eligible for University benefits. Teaching assignments depend on budget and enrollment. Candidates will be expected to teach on campus upon hire. Salary

The final salary is based on the number of credit hours assigned and is determined by University policy. Pay rates are listed by the College of Business. How to Apply

Candidates must apply online through the MSU Denver career site. Complete applications should include: curriculum vitae, cover letter, copies of unofficial transcripts, and a list of three professional references with contact information. Applicants should upload all required materials to the resume/cover letter submission field; if multiple documents are needed, they may be merged into a single PDF. If transcripts cannot be attached electronically or if there are questions, contact the screening chair. For inquiries: Angelica Bahl, Screening Chair, Department of Marketing, MSU Denver. Official transcripts will be required of the candidate selected for hire. Closing Date
