We are a dynamic mid-sized public accounting firm with a team of over 70 professionals, currently seeking a Tax Staff member who wants the opportunity to expand their skills and be an integral team member at a growing CPA firm. Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare simple to complex Federal, State, and Local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
  • Assist with responding to tax notices
  • Interact with clients to gather relevant financial records
  • Analyze financial data
  • Stay current on evolving tax laws and industry regulations

Job criteria and qualifications:

  • 0-5 years of experience in tax at a public accounting firm
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Knowledge of current tax laws and ability to apply to clients in direct interaction
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills with mid-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Lacerte is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and energetic team personality
