Overview
The Department of Clinical Sciences at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, Tufts University, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in medical oncology. This position will support clinical activity and clinical teaching in the Harrington Oncology Service in the Foster Hospital for Small Animals, with an expected active role in supporting clinical and/or applied oncology research. The successful applicant is expected to develop an independent or collaborative research program in a relevant area. Professorial appointments at any rank will be considered, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is on the continuous term (tenure-equivalent) track. The Harrington Oncology Program has a robust clinical caseload and strong student teaching and resident training. The service includes a team of four medical oncologists and two radiation oncologists, a dedicated wing of the FHSA with integrated service space, a USP-800 compliant chemotherapy hood and treatment area, a separate kennel room, a rounds room, and central EMR space. Available equipment includes a Canon Aquilion Exceed 160-slice CT, a 3.0T MRI, a Varian iX linear accelerator with RapidArc, a 120 leaf multileaf collimator, on-board imaging including cone beam CT, Mosaiq, and Varian Eclipse. The Clinical Trials Office coordinates clinical studies and trials, including evaluations of therapies, medical devices, and diagnostic tests. The Foster Hospital for Small Animals handles a diverse caseload with multiple specialties and provides 24/7 emergency and critical care; the service is a Level 1 Trauma Center. Vacational allowance is 5 weeks per year. This position will provide 22-26 weeks of clinical coverage, with an additional 21-25 weeks available for research and scholarly activity, off-clinic teaching, and service. Engagement with collaborative and independent clinical trials research is expected. Responsibilities

Contribute to student and resident training environments and ensure high-quality patient care, client service, and service to referring veterinarians. Engage with collaborative and independent clinical trials research; participate in the Clinical Research Shared Resource. Maintain professional service responsibilities and participate in university teaching and service expectations. Qualifications
DVM degree or equivalent and completion of a residency program in medical oncology. Board certification required at or within two years of the time of hire. Demonstrated interest and aptitude in teaching. Appointment rank and salary commensurate with experience and interests of the candidate. Application Instructions
