Location: Hendersonville, TN Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3×12s Nights Pay: $2,401.20/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Hendersonville, TN on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate has strong obstetric nursing experience, thrives in high-acuity settings, and is committed to delivering safe, family-centered, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, uterine contractions, and labor progression, intervening promptly as necessary.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including induction agents, epidurals, and IV therapies.
Assist physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals during deliveries and obstetric emergencies.
Educate mothers and families on labor processes, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner in the medical record.
Adhere to infection control protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based practices in L&D nursing.
Qualifications
Current and valid RN license in Tennessee (or compact eligibility).
Minimum 1–2 years of recent L&D nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); ACLS preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills in high-acuity settings.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to caring for mothers and newborns.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
