JOB SUMMARY
As a Software Engineer for Cell DIVE, you will work with a small development team to create, expand, and support software used in biological fluorescent imaging workflows. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing WPF/WCF applications in a .NET C# environment while contributing to technical quality improvements across the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Software Engineer for Cell DIVE, you will work with a small development team to create, expand, and support software used in biological fluorescent imaging workflows. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing WPF/WCF applications in a .NET C# environment while contributing to technical quality improvements across the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop .NET C# WPF/WCF software for image acquisition and post-processing workflows.
- Support and maintain existing code, fixing defects, refactoring, and optimizing performance.
- Participate in discussions and implementation of technical debt resolution.
- Work with image acquisition systems to capture, manipulate, and optimize image data.
- Contribute to improving technical quality via regular design and code reviews.
- Participate in an Agile environment and contribute to the full SDLC process.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience architecting and maintaining thin/thick clients and APIs.
- Extensive experience with WCF, WPF, MVVM, MEF, .NET, .NET Core, C#, and Visual Studio.
- Strong technical contributor with proven ability to enhance team outcomes.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Bellevue, WA.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with version control systems (SVN, Git, GitHub, SourceTree, etc.).
- Strong initiative to explore new frameworks and creatively solve problems.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
