Here's what you will do as a Granger RN/LPN: Utilize the nursing process to assess resident care plans, implement interventions and evaluate outcomes related to nursing care Assist with team conferences to develop individualized nursing care plans; assess and document residents' condition and nursing needs; assign team members who have the capabilities and qualifications to meet residents' needs Implement physician's orders; administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests Proven ability to communicate effectively and positively with staff, residents and family members Notifies Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary Manages medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures Basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company software Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance Document treatments as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations Coordinate nursing care of residents scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments Record and report observations and reactions regarding residents Perform additional duties as assigned Education/requirements:
Completion of a professional nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing for the state in which the facility is located. Current License as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse for the state in which the community is located. Current Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and emergency care Preferred : Experience in skilled nursing and/or assisted living community.
