Pay Range:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory transactions, and related warehouse activities. This position supports warehouse operations by performing shipping, receiving, quality control, inventory maintenance, and occasional delivery and pickup tasks as directed by the Warehouse Coordinator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Shipping Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments in accordance with company and carrier requirements. Generate and review shipping documentation, including packing slips and bills of lading. Schedule and coordinate carrier pickups, including UPS, FedEx, LTL, and FTL shipments. Receiving and Quality Control
Receive incoming freight and verify shipments against purchase orders. Inspect materials for damage, defects, or shortages and report discrepancies. Accurately record received goods in the inventory management system. Inventory Control
Stock materials in designated locations and maintain orderly storage. Perform cycle counts and assist with scheduled physical inventory audits. Notify the Warehouse Coordinator of low stock, overages, or discrepancies. Delivery and Pickup
Operate company vehicles to make deliveries and pickups as assigned. Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials. Warehouse Operations and Safety
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and hazard communication protocols. Additional Duties
Assist with the check-in, cleaning, and restocking of rental gear as directed. Support store inventory restocking and special order fulfillment when required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. One to two years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics. Freight handling experience and knowledge of bills of lading preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire. Proficiency with basic computer systems and inventory software. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow instructions. Work Environment
Active warehouse environment with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Regular exposure to warehouse equipment and noise. Full-time schedule with flexibility required during peak shipping periods.
