Why this job – ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Assistant Project Manager to support electrical construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. This hands-on role offers exposure to all phases of projects, from estimating and bidding to execution and close-out—while collaborating closely with a talented team. You’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards, gaining experience with leading industry software along the way.
This is a great opportunity for someone highly organized who’s able to manage multiple projects at the same. While experience with construction is always preferred, we’ll train the right person.

What You'll Actually Do:
- Download, organize, and review project drawings and specifications; perform electrical take-offs and mark-ups
- Manage OneDrive bid folders, assemble proposals, and review contracts for accuracy and potential risks
- Request, track, and confirm quotes from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring deadlines are met; complete internal bidding progress tracking forms
- Coordinate meetings, maintain internal tracking forms, and run weekly Project Health Status Reports to monitor performance and profitability
- Prepare and issue RFIs (Requests for Information) and track responses
- Generate and manage Change Orders; maintain accurate Change Order logs
- Assist with internal or client-facing event coordination as needed
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:
- 1-2+ years of relevant experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong common sense
- Go-getter attitude with a willingness to learn
- Experience with Accubid, Trimble, ProjectSight, Viewpoint a plus
- Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Where and How Much:
- Target Compensation $26-$33/hour + Discretionary bonus
- In office or on-site – half-day Fridays in summer
