Summary /Objective
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Product Development Assistant to support our growing swim category, including goggles, swim caps, gear bags, and related items. This role will play a key part in the development lifecycle—from initial concept through production handoff—helping ensure the on-time delivery of high-quality products that meet design intent and brand standards.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design, production, sales, marketing, and overseas factories to manage samples, specs, line lists, and packaging.
Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Maintain and update style master files and development charts by season.
- Create and approve line lists in collaboration with the graphic design team.
- Prepare and execute seasonal line hand-offs to the production team.
- Develop and maintain technical specification packages (tech packs) for all SKUs.
- Track product development status via organized charts and progress reports, shared with internal teams (e.g., HGs, sales, and marketing).
- Approve development and production samples in conjunction with the design team.
- Maintain & organize sample closet
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Experience in swim, sportswear, or accessories industry is a plus.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
- Able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and cross-functional communication simultaneously.
- Passion for product development and interest in swimwear, performance gear, or active lifestyle industries.
Education and Experience –
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Merchandising, Fashion, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in product development, production coordination, or a similar role.
