LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization to identify a skilled and proactive Accounting Manager to lead corporate general ledger operations, support construction project accounting, and assist with segment reporting. This onsite role supervises a team of five and reports directly to the Controller. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in SOX 404 internal controls, financial statement preparation, and team leadership. CPA preferred.

Accounting Manager

Location: Onsite - Blue Bell, PA
Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000 base + 15% annual bonus
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Supervise a team of five accounting professionals, providing guidance and performance oversight
  • Support construction project accounting, including cost tracking, capitalization, and budget alignment
  • Assist with segment reporting and intercompany allocations
  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 internal control requirements; maintain documentation and testing procedures
  • Collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders during audits and reviews
  • Lead or support automation initiatives for AP and AR processes
  • Oversee payroll transition to ADP, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain and enhance QuickBooks for daily operations
  • Handle financial activities related to tuition, fees, donations, fundraising, and investments
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including corporate G/L and internal controls
  • Strong understanding of SOX 404 compliance and financial reporting standards
  • Experience with construction or project accounting is a plus
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, ADP, and Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
  • Proven leadership skills with experience supervising accounting teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, onsite environment
