Position Summary

This role will assist with Manufacturing Engineering functions throughout operations to increase efficiency, production, quality, reliability, material usage, etc. The role will also function as the technical expert and provide engineering support and service to the blister machines and associated equipment and processes. While exposure to blister machines is ideal, we are looking to train this person to become our on-site expert. Duties can include selection, setup, qualification, support processes and additional equipment needed such as vision systems/HVAC/etc, materials, technical troubleshooting, training others, working with vendors, etc. When not providing support to the blister machines, the focus is on broader manufacturing engineering responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Supports new packaging and processing equipment and product launches.
  • Schedule and complete Equipment Qualifications.
  • Assembles a technical and operational project team, ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Arranging, planning, managing, and executing installations, operations, and performance qualifications.
  • Assists with technical writing needed for the Engineering group.
  • Provides technical assistance in installation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
  • Maintains documentation for equipment specifications, works closely with the Validation Engineer.
  • Establish equipment setup efficiency and procedures.
  • Work with management to identify new and continuous process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.
  • Responsible for adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in engineering or other related technical field, required or equivalent combination
  • 3+ years of blister packaging experience required; additional experience preferred.
  • Engineering experience in a regulated environment, cGMP, OTC or pharmaceutical preferred
