Mechanical Project Manager Job at Trillium Construction Services in Louisville

Trillium Construction is partnering with a well-established HVAC contractor that is growing its Commercial Construction division. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee daily operations, drive project success, and deliver exceptional results for clients.

The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership, ensure compliance with codes and standards, and collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to set performance expectations and support team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
• Consistently meet or exceed profit and growth goals.
• Monitor and maintain site safety standards, including achieving a MOD rating below 0.9.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, clients, and field personnel.
• Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the construction team.
• Manage all contract documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Ensure installations meet contractual, budgetary, and quality requirements.
• Take ownership of project outcomes, driving successful and profitable completion.

Additional Duties

• Schedule and manage site personnel efficiently to minimize overtime.
• Track departmental monthly gross margin contributions and report findings.
• Maintain accurate material and equipment usage records through company reporting systems.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, site inspections, and team check-ins.
• Review, approve, and process change orders.
• Partner with the Sales team to provide technical support as needed.
• Promote a professional, customer-focused culture and ensure adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing MEP and/or HVAC projects in commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, safety rules, and budgets.
• Strong mathematical skills for job-related calculations and reporting.
• Capable of thriving under time-sensitive deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and handle equipment such as ladders and tools.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and scaffolding.
