A 250+ bed, not-for-profit acute care hospital outside Nashville, Tennessee is seeking an experienced and dynamic
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
to help lead its next chapter of growth and transformation. With major capital projects underway and a highly collaborative CEO at the helm, this is a rare opportunity for an accomplished hospital executive to take on a pivotal leadership role that will significantly shape the hospital's future. About the Opportunity:
Partner at the top: Work side-by-side with a transparent, approachable CEO to set direction and drive strategy.
Lead transformational projects: Oversee a new hospital tower expansion including a 30 bed ED expansion and new surgery suites, and guide the transition to EPIC with a go-live scheduled for 2028
Own operations: Take responsibility for day-to-day hospital operations across multiple departments, ensuring excellence in service, efficiency, and financial discipline.
Community impact: Help position a growing Tennessee hospital for long-term success while strengthening physician and community relationships.
Requirements for the Chief Operating Officer:
Master’s degree is required.
Minimum two (2) years experience as COO, CEO, or CNO in a similar-sized acute care hospital.
Proven success in hospital operations, construction oversight, and physician engagement.
Visible, collaborative, hands-on leadership style.
