About Dayspring, Inc. Dayspring, Inc. is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 1982 and located in the Park Heights/Pimlico community of Baltimore City. Our mission is to support and promote children’s total development (i.e., their optimal spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical functioning) and to assist them in being and becoming productive, giving members of society. Our programs include:

We are seeking a highly qualified Interim Executive Director to lead the organization during a transitional phase and potentially earn the opportunity to serve as its permanent Executive Director.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Management: Collaborate with the Board to steward Dayspring’s strategic direction. Provide strong leadership, ensuring that the organization’s mission and goals are effectively implemented. Oversee day-to-day operations and manage staff, volunteers, and vendors.
Grant Writing & Resource Development: Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing and relationship building with individual and institutional funders. Identify and pursue opportunities for financial and in-kind support to ensure sustainability.
Financial Oversight: Manage the organization's budget and financial resources, ensuring fiscal responsibility and transparency. Manage grants and contracts, submitting required reports in accordance with funder guidelines.
Program Implementation & Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate program activities to align with organizational objectives, ensuring quality and effectiveness as well as continuous improvement.
Partnership Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, partners, volunteers, and stakeholders to enhance the organization’s reputation and reach.
Community Engagement: Serve as the primary spokesperson for Dayspring, representing the organization in various forums and advocating for its mission through its newsletter, social media presence, and other means.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred)
At least two years of supervisory experience in the nonprofit or education sector
Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and managing financial resources
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to effectively engage multigenerational stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, including historically marginalized communities
Exceptional problem-solving and strategic thinking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to learn, support, and implement Dayspring’s educational philosophy and practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, Canva, and other relevant applications
