River Forest Public Schools District 90 River Forest, IL Announcement of Superintendent Vacancy The Board of Education of River Forest Public Schools District 90 (River Forest, IL) is pleased to announce its nationwide search for a Superintendent of Schools to succeed Dr. Ed Condon following his retirement in June 2026 after 15 years of leadership in the district. River Forest Public Schools is a high-performing K-8 school district in a community with a long history of high expectations for its students and support for public education. The district comprises three schools: Lincoln Elementary, Willard Elementary, and Roosevelt Middle School. River Forest Public Schools is one of two elementary school districts that feed into Oak Park and River Forest High School. The district is noted for numerous achievements: Golden Achievement Award:

All three district schools are designated as “exemplary” by the Illinois State Board of Education. Located 10 miles directly west of Chicago, the River Forest community is situated within easy access to this metropolitan center. Nearby the Eisenhower Expressway, and with stops for two commuter light rail systems, River Forest is easily accessible both from Chicago and other suburbs. It is also located within a convenient distance to both Midway and O’Hare Airports. River Forest’s 11,717 residents reside in a village of historic homes and outdoor green spaces of parks and forest preserves. Education and culture have a prominent place in the area with two universities located within the village, Concordia University and Dominican University.
