The Senior Network Architect approaches solution designs with a high level of ownership and actively collaborates with the Lead Architects to help the network team deliver secure and operationally sound solutions. This role encompasses three key areas of focus: physical designs that illustrate how the network system integrates with the enterprise, logical/secure designs to meet defined solution requirements, and monitoring/measuring that validates digital experience and business value from designs are achieved. As the Senior Network Architect, you will help bring forward recommendations for emerging technology for further review by the Network Architecture team. This position requires an active review of designs to ensure that all business requirements, technical requirements, and monitoring objectives are met. The Senior Network Architect will collaborate across the network team and other IT stakeholder groups to propose security, scalability, availability, supportability, and cost improvements.

**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Collaborate on and develop physical designs that map wired and wireless connectivity in the enterprise. Help guide the creation of network infrastructure designs that ensure a high level of availability and security. Confirm that each expected outcome is measured against defined metrics to ensure success.* Collaborate on and develop logical designs that ensure the network operates optimally, enhancing digital experience for all applications and services.* Recommend monitoring and measurement capabilities to help detect early signs of operational issues and maintain performance. Confirm that each expected outcome is measured against defined metrics to ensure success.* Articulate network design's business or customer benefits. Propose measurements that ensure that business objectives, availability, and performance are delivered. Confirm that each expected outcome is measured against defined metrics to ensure success.* Operate as an SME for root cause analysis and incorporate learnings into designs to eliminate operational risks.* Participate in cross-functional architecture reviews to ensure comprehensive design integration.* Collaborate with different business units to ensure network architecture meets all requirements. Confirm that each expected outcome is measured against defined metrics to ensure success.* Lead new product reviews to bring forward recommendations that enhance MGM's business.* Evaluate all technology with priority for security, performance, and reliability.* Review operational issues and recommend adjustments to designs and/or measurements to improve digital experience.* Support Governance by comparing network results against objectives for operational efficiency, business value, and customer experience.* Engage in partner solution Governance to support network objectives to continuously improve scalability, availability, security, supportability, and cost efficiency.**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.* 5+ years of experience in network architecture and design.* 3+ years of experience with network engineering build and run, including Cisco, Cisco Wireless, Palo Alto, Citrix Netscaler, and Zscaler (Juniper or HP experience a plus).* Expert level understanding of Cisco Route/Switch, Cisco ACI, Cisco Wireless, Cisco Management tools, and NetSec enterprise solutions with a proven track record of solution design success.* Expert level operational knowledge of network monitoring tools and performance optimization, including tools such as SNMP, Sflow/netflow, and other full-stack Observability tools.* Experience with Cisco Management and Policy Tools including Catalyst Center and ISE.* Expert level understanding of SDWAN and Cloud connectivity solutions.* In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security technologies with hands-on experience that includes Cisco ACI.* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.* Experience with additional Enterprise technology and tools including Palo Alto FW's, Citrix Netscaler, Zscaler, NetScout.* Experience with InfoBlox for IPAM, DNS and DHCP.**THE PERKS & BENEFITS:*** Prioritize your wellness, access programs crafted to nurture your mental and physical health.* Enjoy unbeatable discounts on hotel stays, dining, retail, entertainment, and exclusive partner perks for travel, tech, and beyond!* Savor delicious meals for free in our employee dining room.* Park with ease—whether you're on or off shift, it's free!* From healthcare to financial support and generous time-off options, we’ve got you covered.* Elevate your career with development programs, connect through networking events, and make a difference with community volunteer opportunities.**VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION:**Are you ready to **JOIN THE SHOW**At MGM Resorts, we exist to entertain the human race and provide an unforgettable escape.
