The Senior Network Architect approaches solution designs with a high level of ownership and actively collaborates with the Lead Architects to help the network team deliver secure and operationally sound solutions. This role encompasses three key areas of focus: physical designs that illustrate how the network system integrates with the enterprise, logical/secure designs to meet defined solution requirements, and monitoring/measuring that validates digital experience and business value from designs are achieved. As the Senior Network Architect, you will help bring forward recommendations for emerging technology for further review by the Network Architecture team. This position requires an active review of designs to ensure that all business requirements, technical requirements, and monitoring objectives are met. The Senior Network Architect will collaborate across the network team and other IT stakeholder groups to propose security, scalability, availability, supportability, and cost improvements.
**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Collaborate on and develop physical designs that map wired and wireless connectivity in the enterprise. Help guide the creation of network infrastructure designs that ensure a high level of availability and security. Confirm that each expected outcome is measured against defined metrics to ensure success.* Collaborate on and develop logical designs that ensure the network operates optimally, enhancing digital experience for all applications and services.* Recommend monitoring and measurement capabilities to help detect early signs of operational issues and maintain performance. Confirm that each expected outcome is measured against defined metrics to ensure success.* Articulate network design's business or customer benefits. Propose measurements that ensure that business objectives, availability, and performance are delivered. Confirm that each expected outcome is measured against defined metrics to ensure success.* Operate as an SME for root cause analysis and incorporate learnings into designs to eliminate operational risks.* Participate in cross-functional architecture reviews to ensure comprehensive design integration.* Collaborate with different business units to ensure network architecture meets all requirements.
