Role Overview

RACER is seeking a entrepreneurial, performance-driven

Sr. Manager / Director of Growth Marketing & Subscription Management

to lead end-to-end subscription growth and lifecycle marketing for

RACER+ , our premium motorsports streaming platform, and

RACER Magazine , our iconic print and digital publication.

This is a high-impact, accountable leadership role for someone who thrives on growing revenue, testing and turning insights into action. Youll own the full subscription funnelfrom acquisition to retentionwhile managing performance media, subscriber CRM, pricing strategy, partnerships, and subscription product innovation across the RACER ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is ready to rise to the challenge and lead to substantial growth. Bonus compensation is not capped and will be based on subscriber revenue and on the ability to build a world-class subscription business in motorsports.

Key Responsibilities

Growth Strategy & Lifecycle Ownership

Own the entire subscriber journey: acquisition, onboarding, engagement, upsell, churn mitigation, and win-back across both RACER+ and RACER Magazine. Build and execute scalable growth marketing strategies that drive aggressive subscriber and revenue growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, editorial, analytics, engineering) to prioritize experiments and optimize funnel conversion. Paid Media & Performance Marketing

Lead campaign strategy, execution, and optimization across Meta, Google, YouTube, and programmatic. Manage and report on paid media performance, CAC, and ROI across all acquisition channels. Continually test messaging, creative, and targeting strategies to drive efficiency. Email & Retention Marketing

Collaborate with Sr. Marketing Manager on subscriber CRM strategy, ensuring timely, personalized, and brand-aligned campaigns via platforms like Mailchimp or equivalent. Build and manage automated lifecycle flows (onboarding, retention, win-back, etc.) by collaborating with Sr. Marketing Manager. Drive subscriber email segmentation and targeting strategies that deepen engagement and reduce churn. Product & Subscription Innovation

Recommend and test subscription product

enhancementsincluding

bundling, merchandise offers, exclusive access, or new value-add services. Partner with content and tech teams to evolve the subscription value proposition. Identify new revenue opportunities beyond the current streaming + magazine model. Revenue Strategy & Pricing

Partner on pricing, packaging, and promotional strategy to maximize ARPU and LTV. Evaluate upsell and cross-sell paths across products and customer segments. Collaborate with Leadership on forecasting and modeling. Partnership Management

Manage subscription service partnerships (Endeavor Streaming, C&W (print), Patreon, affiliate programs) to maximize acquisition and retention impact. Explore and recommend additional distribution or marketing partnerships that support subscription goals. Identify and develop subscription marketing partnerships

with organizations that have large, relevant consumer databases to drive acquisition via co-branded campaigns, affiliate marketing, or revenue-share models.

Create proposals and negotiate terms that support scalable, mutually beneficial subscriber growth initiatives.

Data & Insights

Define and own KPIs including CAC, LTV, churn rate, ARPU, and conversion rate. Lead A/B testing across acquisition and retention programs. Turn insights into presentations and recommendations for leadership. Qualifications

5+ years of experience in growth marketing, subscription-based businesses, or CRM/lifecycle marketing. Proven track record scaling DTC or media subscriptions across paid, owned, and earned channels. Strong hands-on experience with paid media platforms (Meta, Google Ads, YouTube). Expertise in CRM platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and lifecycle automation. Deep understanding of growth metrics and marketing attribution. Data-first mindset with experience using platforms like GA4, Amplitude, Looker, or similar. Excellent communicator with a collaborative spirit and strong project management skills. Passion for motorsports, car culture, or premium streaming content is a plus. Compensation & Additional Details

Competitive base salary based on experience. This role includes an uncapped performance-based incentive plan tied directly to subscriber and revenue growth. Grow our business and make as much money as you like! Work Schedule: Full-time (MF), with occasional nights/weekends tied to major campaign launches or race events. Work Model: Hybrid (23 days/week in office), based in Metro Indianapolis. Travel: Periodic travel to industry events, live races, and team offsites.
