Sales Assistant [Bilingual Japanese/English Languages]

Employment Type: Full-Time (Hybrid)
Compensation: Starting at $22/hour (negotiable based on experience)
Work Hours: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (flexible schedules available)
Position Overview We are seeking a Japanese-English bilingual Sales Assistant to support our sales team. This role involves order processing, shipment coordination, and customer communication. While customers are U.S.-based (English), frequent email communication with Japan headquarters and factories in Japanese is required. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Process and manage purchase orders (POs) Coordinate shipment processing and prepare related documentation Communicate with U.S.-based customers regarding PO/shipment status, accounts receivable, and related matters (English) Communicate with Japan headquarters and factories regarding orders and shipments (Japanese, primarily via email) Use OMS (Order Management System) to process and track orders Handle transactions and input data through customer portals Support sales reporting and data management using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools Assist with Salesforce operations (preferred) Provide administrative support as needed
Required Qualifications Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese (reading/writing/email required) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (required) Experience with OMS or similar order management systems (preferred) Salesforce experience a plus Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to multitask Excellent communication skills Prior experience in inside sales, customer support, or sales assistant roles (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits
