Overview

Dental Assistant — Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team at the Bakersfield CBOC. Requirements include a current unrestricted license by the Committee on Dental Auxiliaries (COMDA) for the State of California, a minimum of 1 year experience as a dental assistant, a Dental Radiological Certificate, a current BLS and / or CPR card, and a valid TB test.

Responsibilities

• Perform chairside assistant duties in all phases of dentistry including prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and endodontics.
• Receive routing patients, record information related to patient care, utilize all dental programs, and provide patients with education material related to their care.
• Provide proper verbal and written post-op instructions following surgical procedures.
• Instruct, assist, and answer questions for a variety of dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.

Working Hours

Monday through Friday (7:30am - 4:00pm and 8:00am to 4:30pm) and 11 Federal Holidays off.
