Overview

This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business. Shift: Monday to Friday 4:30 AM - Finish. Pay rate: $27 per hour. Employment is subject to verification of pre-hire tests, which may include drug screening and background check when permitted by state or local laws.

Responsibilities

  • Spends much of the time training warehouse associates in duties and responsibilities and all associates in the safe use of equipment according to SOPs. Observes performance to correct behaviors as necessary.
  • May require use of a radio frequency (RF) device to perform daily tasks.
  • Assist warehouse personnel with the efficient execution of order filling, receiving, stocking and returns.
  • Oversee shipping and general operations (UPS, emergency orders or general deliveries).
  • Act as an individual contributor completing advanced tasks and decision making with detailed knowledge of the position and procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day tactical direction and guidance to warehouse associates. Responsible for daily workloads. Coordinate and recommend efficiencies to workflow.
  • Manage inventory; including monitoring levels.
  • May use forklifts, reach trucks and/or other motorized equipment to move inventory.
  • Assist in supervision of the department including assignment of work, coverage for vacations, and building volume.
  • Participate in associate concerns such as reporting and follow up to supervisor.
  • Utilize computer system applications for proper operation and reports.
  • Comply with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and state and DEA regulations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Experience and Education

Requires completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of experience and education; two (2) plus years of work experience.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand English to compare and read product descriptions, names and shelf labels.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.
  • Understanding of DC workflow and ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Maintains a clean work area to help ensure merchandise remains clean and to help prevent injuries.
  • Ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions.
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred.
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
  • Team player with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency to operate reach truck, picker machines, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
  • Maintains appropriate attendance and production standards.

Salary

Salary Range*: $37,900 - 54,120. This range reflects national averages; actual range may vary by locale. Some locations may deviate up to 10% lower/higher based on state-specific locations.
