Overview
DNCR Human Resources is seeking a well-rounded Recruiter to join our Division HR team division of Parks and Recreation. The Recruiter will collaborate with the HR Team to accomplish the day-to-day aspects of the State Parks recruitment, employment, and salary administration functions. This position's primary responsibility is recruitment, salary administration, onboarding and frequent interaction with managers, employees, applicants, and other divisions HR Team. This position requires experience utilizing HR policies and procedures and occasionally assisting in other HR functions such as time administration, benefits, worker's compensation, temporary employment, and processing personnel actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Working independently as well as providing technical guidance to employees and managers.
- Meeting stringent deadlines.
- Handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Occasional day/overnight travel may be required.
Position Details
- Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8-5, 40 hours a week.
Qualifications and Experience
- Associate's degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution AND One Year Of Experience Required OR Two years of progressive experience in Human Resources OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience applying and/or interpreting NC State Government personnel policies and procedures clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated experience in a HR-Payroll system including processing personnel actions.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment and salary administration.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing an applicant tracking system.
- Demonstrated experience in processing temporary hires.
