Southern Oregon Sanitation Inc. is hiring: Delivery Driver in Grants Pass

Overview

The Cart Delivery Driver position is a highly visible customer centric position and is the first SOS face many of our customers see; therefore, this position is designed to create an excellent customer experience through prompt professional delivery services. This position also sets the tone for future customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage container inventory


• Ensures


• Equipment and containers are clean and in safe operate condition


• Including washing, repairing, and restaging containers.


• Accounts and reports out on damaged/scrapped containers


• As an entry level commercial driver,


• Daily deliveries of residential and commercial refuse and recycling containers.


• Maintains a safe and organized work area.


• Files are accurately maintained and recorded (PUC and SOS Regulator Documentation)


• Route book instructions are being followed


• Container/box/cart files are accurate


• SOS Employee Engagement


• Work with all route drivers supported by this cart delivery route


• Work with the Customer Service Staff to meeting the agreed upon delivery arrangements


• Understand and follow SOS policies and procedures


• Keep carts cleaned, organized and ready for service


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age


• High School Graduate


• Be able to obtain a valid medical card and CDL permit with in 50 days of higher and acquire CDL with in 1 year of service.


• Valid Class C license and must be insurable.

Preferred Requirements

• Professional Drivers School Diploma/Certification


• Class A License W/Currant Medical Card


• 1-year experience as a commercial driver.
