Overview
The Houseperson is responsible for performing general clean-up tasks, maintaining guest rooms, and all resort public areas. They are responsible for collecting and distributing linens and fulfilling any Room Attendant and Guest requests for additional supplies such as cleaning supplies, equipment (vacuum cleaners), Terry, linens, and/or anything else needed to complete the cleaning of rooms and common areas.
Salary Rate: $18.00/hr - $18.50/hr

Essential Job Functions:
- Stock all carts, caddies, and chemicals.
- Stock all linen carts.
- Use the systems and equipment provided by the resort, including Alice, radios, and other communication devices.
- Ensure security of assigned keys and equipment.
- Sign in and out all devices.
- Report and log all maintenance issues in Alice.
- Follow lost and found procedures for all items.
- Manage linen inventory and keep track of supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of loading dock, walkways, and other areas as needed.
- Vacuum hallways, clean light fixtures, stairs, stair rails, elevators, and spot clean carpets.
- Collect stained linen and dispose of trash around the property.
- Distribute clean linen and stock housekeeping carts.
- Complete housekeeping requests promptly.
- Use correct cleaning chemicals per OSHA regulations and hotel standards.
- Transport rollaway beds or cribs as needed.
- Keep storage closets clean and stocked.
- Fulfill housekeeper requests.
- Be knowledgeable of hotel fire and emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, or at least six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous hospitality experience is preferred. Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write basic English. Availability for varied shifts and flexible schedules is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Endure various physical movements such as reaching, bending, stooping, and extending arms overhead.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and push/pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
