SECURITY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance

This position supports Counter Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (CsUAS) security planning, policy development, and organizational defense.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate CsUAS security planning and policy.
  • Monitor the operation of CsUAS systems, analyze operational trends, and propose preventive maintenance to assure continued operating capability.
  • Provide CsUAS training and evaluation and report evaluation results, ensuring identified deficiencies are reported for corrective action.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of CsUAS policies as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Time-in-grade requirements: current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level.
  • Within the DoD, retirement provisions apply under 5 U.S.C. 3326 for retired military members within 180 days following retirement date.
  • Selective Service: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered.
  • Resumes: restricted to no more than 2 pages; illegible resumes will not be considered.
  • Required: obtain and maintain interim/final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must possess and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • This is a Mission Essential position.

Experience/Qualifications

  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-11 or pay band performing:
    1. Evaluating a CsUAS program for compliance and operability.
    2. Integrating CsUAS defense into a force protection network.
    3. Using blueprints, schematics, manuals to determine CsUAS operations and limitations.
    4. Providing CsUAS training.
    5. Preparing recommendations and briefings to upper management.
