Bobtail Drivers Needed for Transportation & Installation/Warehouse Support Work

Silver Mountain is actively hiring full-time and part-time Bobtail Drivers for Deliveries and Logistics projects throughout the greater Sacramento area.

We are offering competitive pay ranging from $20–$30 per hour, depending on experience.

This position involves operating non-CDL bobtail trucks to assist with pickup and delivery services, equipment transport, and relocation logistics. While routes vary, most work will take place across local job sites with occasional warehouse pick-up or drop-off. You'll play a key role in ensuring timely, safe, and well-organized deliveries for our commercial and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate bobtail (non-CDL) trucks to transport equipment, furniture, and materials across local and regional routes

• Load and unload items safely and efficiently using proper securing methods (straps, blankets, dollies, etc.)

• Complete daily route logs and follow assigned schedules and delivery instructions

• Inspect vehicles for maintenance needs and report issues proactively

• Assist team members with site deliveries and installations when needed

• Follow company procedures and client expectations for safety and professionalism

Job Requirements

• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record

• Proven experience operating a bobtail or similar box truck (16–26 feet)

• Ability to consistently lift, carry, and move items up to 50 lbs (with or without team support)

• Reliable personal transportation to job sites, warehouses, or dispatch locations as needed

• Strong communication skills and comfort using mobile apps for dispatch updates and delivery tracking

• Willingness to complete background and pre-employment screenings
