Position Overview: This is a hands-on role ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys autonomy and variety. The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of HR operations in a stand-alone capacity, including payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll & Benefits Administration
  • Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Administer the company’s 401(k) plan and ensure compliance
  • Manage annual benefits renewals and coordinate with brokers/providers
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution
  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for all roles
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and candidate profiles
  • Maintain job postings and manage relationships with external recruiters
  • Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws
  • Support employee engagement and performance initiatives
  • HR Operations & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a small or growing company
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and benefits administration
  • Experience managing 401(k) plans and compliance
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
