Assembly Operator – Microelectronics Newburyport, MA
We are seeking detail-oriented Assembly Operators to support semiconductor and microelectronics assembly operations. These roles involve operating precision equipment, inspecting products, and ensuring quality standards are met in a clean, organized, and team-oriented environment.
Shift Options & Pay:
1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM | $19.50–$21.50/hour (based on experience; $19.50 without cleanroom experience)
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | $21.50–$24.20/hour (includes 10% shift differential)
Responsibilities:
Operate manual, automatic, and semi-automatic microelectronics assembly equipment.
Perform inspections of die and packages to Military and JEDEC standards using high- and low-power microscopes.
Follow defined specifications, reaction paths, and written/verbal instructions.
Use hand tools to process delicate products without damaging components.
Train other employees on basic equipment operation and processes.
Maintain well-organized and audit-ready work areas.
Utilize computer-based manufacturing systems to move products and enter data.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in electronics or semiconductor assembly helpful.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Stable work history and commitment to quality.
Positive, team-oriented attitude.
