Our team of Certified Nursing Assistants play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to patients. This position will also take on responsibilities of a Health Unit Coordinator

The NICU is one of the larger units in the hospital; serving infants (and their families) requiring medical or surgical care immediately after birth. Infants’ medical conditions vary from extremely premature to ones having difficulty transitioning to extra-uterine life.
We are a level 4 NICU: treating infants requiring gastrointestinal, neurological, and musculoskeletal surgeries or treatments. We care for all types of patients excluding ECMO and complex cardiac surgery. We are a transport referral site and receive patients from all over the region. We are a delivering hospital and attend all high risk deliveries.
The NICU provides 24/7 Neonatology coverage with an in house neonatologist and nurse practitioner. When eligible for floating, we do support our other units within the Children’s Hospital (Peds and PICU).
What you can expect from this role
Full Time Night Shift - 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period)
Hours are generally 1900-0700
Shift differential pay offered (Nights and Weekends)
Perform various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
Eligible to apply for scholarships to pursue nursing education
Qualifications
Education: No Education Required
Experience: 0 years' experience
Licenses/Certifications: Current CNA Certification in the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
