We are a leading commercial construction firm specializing in ground-up developments and renovation projects throughout Milwaukee, WI. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee ground-up and renovation projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, excellent leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of the Milwaukee market and local building codes. Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Execution & Supervision: Oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring work complies with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, track costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Schedule Management: Monitor project timelines, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and construction crews, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and progress reports.
- Proven experience (5+ years) managing commercial ground-up and renovation construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Milwaukee building codes, permits, and local regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
