St. Louis County is seeking an HR professional to join our team as a Human Resources Advisor who will serve as a Business Partner to three assigned county departments. An employee in this class provides professional human resources work in an assigned program area, including advising staff on county policies and procedures, Civil Service rules and laws, and collective bargaining agreement provisions, recruitment and assessment, benefits, classification and compensation, reasonable accommodations, performance management, business systems and records maintenance, and training and development.
Responsibilities
- Advise staff on county policies and procedures, Civil Service rules and laws, and collective bargaining agreement provisions, recruitment and assessment, benefits, classification and compensation, reasonable accommodations, performance management, business systems and records maintenance, and training and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, management, public administration, or a closely related field; OR graduation with a Bachelor's degree and one (1) year full-time paid verifiable professional human resources experience as determined appropriate by the Director of Human Resources and Administration.
- Possession of a valid drivers license.
- Bachelors degree in business administration, human resources, management, public administration, or a closely related field AND four (4) years full-time paid verifiable professional human resources experience; OR Bachelors degree and five (5) years full-time paid verifiable professional human resources experience as determined equivalent by the Director of Human Resources and Administration.
- Possession of a valid drivers license.
Note: At the discretion of the hiring authority, the successful candidate may be considered for appointment at the Human Resources Advisor or Human Resources Senior Advisor level, contingent on minimum qualifications and department need. This would be determined at the time a job offer is extended.
