Primary Care Physician - Assumption Primary Care
Job Description
The Staff Physician provides direct patient care and emergency services in an effort to ensure that patient health care needs are met at all times.
Responsibilities
Patient Care: Provides direct patient care in the office and at other locations, develops treatment plans, and assesses patient's response to treatment while ensuring that all health care services provided are of the highest quality.
Emergency Care: Provides high quality emergency care to patients on an on-call basis and in rotation with other physicians in an effort to ensure that patient health care needs are met at all times (Industrial Medical Center's Staff Physician does not provide on-call services).
Quality and Performance Improvement: Investigates new techniques, practices, and equipment in an effort to identify ways of maximizing the quality and efficiency of health care services provided to patients.
Quality Improvement Programs: Assists in the development and implementation of continuous quality improvement programs and participates in multi-disciplinary continuous quality improvement efforts. Ensures all services are performed with compassion, understanding, and respect for others.
Policy and Mission Alignment: Ensures the appropriate application of the hospital's mission, philosophy, and policies to promote high quality health care services and departmental effectiveness.
Professional Development: Promotes quality and efficiency of performance by staying current with trends through seminars, workshops, conferences, and affiliations with professional organizations.
Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborates with other physicians to ensure high quality medical care and technologically advanced services.
Education and Training: Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, and training sessions to share expertise with others and support learning for new personnel, volunteers, and interns.
Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
