Position Summary The
General Manager
is responsible for the efficient, professional, and profitable operation of the food service operations at the assigned venue. This individual oversees every managerial, full-time and part-time position, and ensures full compliance with state and federal labor laws, sanitation and food-related ordinances, and alcohol service regulations. In addition to managing day-to-day business operations, the General Manager solicits new sources of revenue, both on and off the venue property.
This role pays an annual salary of $95,000-$105,000 and is bonus eligible.

Responsibilities
Ensure legal, efficient, professional and profitable operation of the assigned venue.
Generate and review financial reports, including budgets, projections, forecasting, revenue analysis, disbursements, capital investments, labor and product costs, wage and salary control, and P&L statements.
Final decision-maker on equipment purchases and leases.
Conflict resolution; mediation; arbitration and labor negotiations, when applicable.
Author, review and amend policies & procedures, as required.
Author and amend contracts; authorize terms.
Oversee scheduling and labor allocation.
Analyze ticket sales to anticipate staffing needs; determine and project POS to guest ratio.
Evaluate historical sales and purchasing data to identify purchasing patterns and cost of goods.
Program and maintain the POS system to ensure accurate financial reporting and inventory control by location.
Direct and assist managers in preparing and attaining future goals; provide direction and follow-up on assignments.
Inspect operations regularly to ensure established quality standards are maintained.
Prepare required reports accurately and submit on time; follow up with department heads to ensure timely reporting.
Develop an effective management team; provide guidance and support to managers.
Evaluate manager performance and recommend improvements.
Review and assist in developing menus and marketing plans with department heads.
Establish and maintain professional relationships with show managers, suppliers, vendors, and the public.
Qualifications
MA or MS; BA or BS with a business-related major
Minimum 5 years of management experience in food-related or concessions industry
Concessions Manager Certificate from the National Association of Concessionaires
Nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training certification
Excellent communication skills with employees, volunteers, management, and guests
Ability to make sound business/operations decisions quickly and under pressure
English proficiency (read, write, speak)
Solid working knowledge of computer applications: Microsoft Office, POS systems, timekeeping systems
Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
Thorough knowledge of concessions and premium services locations, equipment, procedures, and access
Valid Food Handlers certificate and Alcohol Service Permit if required by state/local government
Thorough knowledge of sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, and safety standards
Ability to calculate math functions and manage financials, including cash handling
High level of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Experience in a union environment required
Experience in a fast-paced stadium or ballpark preferred
Accounting minor or credits preferred
