Director, IT Enterprise Business Systems Owner

— Planned Parenthood. This role reports to the VP, IT Enterprise Systems & Application Development in the IT department of PPFA. This is a hybrid in-office position requiring the selected individual to work in either our NYC or DC office 2 days per week. Purpose: The Director, IT Enterprise Business Systems Owner will be a key leader within the IT Enterprise Business Systems & Application Development department, responsible for planning and overseeing the delivery of highly usable and responsive end user solutions in line with the vision, goals, and standards of the department and organization. The Director acts as the technical system owner and IT business liaison to key stakeholders. The overarching goal is to provide users an exceptional experience by crafting and maintaining an environment where users feel cared for and can perform at their best. Responsibilities and scope include organizing and providing a coherent set of service offerings to support, manage, and administer enterprise business systems; understanding user needs; designing roadmaps; and executing on that vision to drive outcomes for stakeholders. Engagement:

Serve as a strategic liaison between IT, end users, and vendors; collaborate with Planned Parenthood business units, Data Architecture, Information Security, Project & Portfolio Management, Engineering, IT Operations & Infrastructure; work with Technology Strategy and Services teams, People, Culture & Equity, Learning & Development, and other departments to align systems with employee needs and objectives. Oversee vendor relationships for third-party software and related services. Provide guidance and support to staff and department leaders to optimize the use of enterprise business systems. Delivery: Platform Strategy & Planning:

Understand user needs, conduct user research, lead roadmap planning and backlog management, oversee configuration and deployment of system modules, design efficient workflows with business owners, monitor trends, evaluate new tools, identify opportunities to integrate systems, automate processes, and ensure compliance with organizational policies (legal, security, privacy). Platform Operations:

Maintain operational runbooks and data flows, document with cross-functional alignment, improve procedures, oversee the full user lifecycle (onboarding, training, support, de-provisioning), manage training materials and adoption, oversee end-user support and knowledge base, ensure secure user management and permissions, support UI/UX, lead agile delivery, and oversee upgrades for security and usability. Integration & Reporting:

Recommend and manage system integrations, monitor usage, define KPIs, generate reports, and maintain technical documentation and diagrams. Platform Performance & Security:

Monitor performance within budget, collaborate with security teams, manage licenses and contracts, oversee vendor performance, and address vulnerabilities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications (KSAs)

At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT business operations and/or project management. Experience administering enterprise business applications. Experience with custom software development and/or product design. Experience with systems design and development from requirements analysis through day-to-day management. Experience with hybrid SaaS environments and custom applications. Experience with analytics and data analysis applications. Knowledge of ITIL, ITOps, PMP and agile frameworks is preferred but not required. Proficiency with program and project management tools (Google Workspace, Asana, Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart) is required. Familiarity with development workflows and Secure Software Development Lifecycle practices is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cybersecurity standards (e.g., OWASP, SOX, HIPAA, PCI, NIST) and data privacy standards is preferred but not required. Familiarity with application code security and integration strategies, as well as vulnerability scanning, logging and monitoring, is preferred but not required. Travel:

0-5% travel may be required for this role. Compensation & Benefits:

$150,000 - $160,000 per year. Total offer package includes generous vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, medical/dental/vision benefits effective day 1, life insurance, short/long-term disability, paid family leave, and 401(k).
