Assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of the MSM Graduate Medical Education program for participants by defining educational/vocational goals and encouraging the pursuit of educational opportunities available at the institution. Assist in determining fiscal requirements and preparing budgetary recommendations; monitor, verify, and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds. Prepare reports and analyses that set forth progress, adverse trends, and provide appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships throughout the Institution and with external stakeholders as appropriate to attain departmental, institutional, and/or programmatic goals and objectives. Responsible for maintaining the Institution’s accreditation status with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and other agencies. Assists in providing consultation and/or collaboration with the Institution’s clinical faculty, departments, affiliated hospitals, and joint sponsors in performing needs assessments, developing educational objectives, selecting educational formats, and evaluating learners’ achievement of educational goals. Reviews, amends, and establishes all policies and procedures specific to graduate medical education activities with guidance and oversight by the faculty Graduate Medical Education Committee. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related area. Minimum of 5-8 years of related experience in educational program management or equivalency. Intermediate to advanced level of experience in Microsoft Office. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related area. Understanding of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements for institutional, common, and specialty programs. Experience in higher education, undergraduate medical education, graduate medical education, or hospital administration. Knowledge and utilization of ERAS, NRMP, ACGME WebADS. Preference is given to candidates with advanced organizational skills, project management experience, and outstanding interpersonal skills. Willing to travel. Description of Job Duty

Participate in long-range and short-term strategic planning for the Division and Office of Graduate Medical Education. Consults and provides expertise to affiliates, campus community, and outside agencies in areas related to GME — ACGME accreditation standards, medical licensing, visa issues, Medicare funding, residency and fellowship program requirements, accreditation applications, NRMP, and GME policies and procedures. Review ACGME national standards for graduate medical education and ensure GME institutional compliance. Ensure residency and fellowship programs meet regulatory agency policies with accrediting bodies (ACGME, state licensing, and the education committee for foreign medical graduates). Prepare, monitor and administer the annual GME budget. Manage the annual resident stipend process. Ensure available funding for residents and fellows through directing and providing oversight of billing and invoicing to affiliated hospitals. Monitor and ensure accuracy of payments. Oversee internal MSM financial processes related to GME funding within programs and departments. Develop, advise, and administer GME policies and procedures. Consult on corrective action and disciplinary issues and manage related procedures. Direct and manage the appointment, hiring, and credentialing processes for all residents and fellows. Manage and oversee ACGME ADS, NRMP, ERAS, Medhub, and other web-based data systems. Oversee the educational activities and events of the residency and fellowship programs. Provide orientation sessions and ad hoc instruction to new and continuing program assistants, managers, and directors. Monitor rotation schedules, logs, continuing medical education activities, didactics, research and evaluations for interns/residents/fellows. Plan, assign and review work of graduate medical education staff to ensure that group objectives are met. Hire, train, develop, manage, and evaluate GME staff to ensure a qualified staff exists to meet group objectives. Create and write various GME assessment and evaluation dashboards, scorecards, and reports. Seniority level
