Open Rank - General Pediatrician at
University of South Florida Libraries . Location: Tampa, FL. The Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics seeks an Academic Pediatrician at an open rank. Duties include patient care, teaching and supervising a variety of learners with opportunities to be involved in clinical and basic research. A Florida medical license is required prior to assuming the position. The physician will be responsible for providing direct medical care to patients in the hospital at Tampa General Hospital, USF Health Pediatric clinics and TGH outpatient sites. The faculty will be primarily assigned to cover outpatient clinics and the well-baby nursery (no delivery room attendance). Overnight weeks of call are from home; call weeks and weekends are shared within the general pediatrics division and are generally 1 week out of 5. Responsibilities
Provide direct medical care to patients in the hospital, USF Health Pediatric clinics, and TGH outpatient sites; cover outpatient clinics and the well-baby nursery (no delivery room attendance); participate in teaching residents, medical students and physician assistant students. Typical duties include the diagnosis, treatment, operation, or prescription for any human disease, pain, injury, deformity, or other physical conditions. Engage in teaching, research, and service; participate in academic advising and related activities; may represent the university/college/department on committees as appropriate. Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited institution; demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service; must meet university criteria for appointment to the appropriate rank. Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent; obtain and maintain licensure, credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals assigned for clinical duties; participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics. Additional Information
