Nutrition Manager

Harbor Health Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nutrition Manager to lead the nutrition program for the Elder Service Plan (ESP) — a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) — at locations in Mattapan and Brockton, MA. Nutrition Manager , you’ll report to the Director of Clinical Services and will develop and implement nutrition services in alignment with PACE, DPH, and other regulatory guidelines. You’ll oversee the nutrition team, contribute to strategic planning and budgeting, support compliance audits, and may conduct occasional home care visits. Develops, coordinates and implements nutrition programs for ESP in Mattapan and Brockton locations; ensures compliance with regulatory and agency standards. Manages all aspects of Nutrition Department personnel, including hiring, development, evaluation, training, and supervision of staff; ensures appropriate staff ratios. Oversees dietician performance, ensures timely and comprehensive assessments, develops protocols for population management, and keeps Care Plans updated. Ensures all meals comply with PACE and DPH requirements. Provides guidance to participants and families regarding nutrition and delivers educational programs and materials to participants, families, and ESP staff. Oversees food service programs provided by vendors. Participates in interdisciplinary teams; covers 20% of panel and/or escalation cases. Continuously improves nutrition operations and quality (e.g., supplement management, vendor management for food satisfaction). Performs initial, semiannual, and annual nutritional assessments onsite or in home/other settings. Monitors Dietary Aide compliance functions and provides kitchen coverage when needed. Places and/or manages orders; reviews and approves all nutrition-related invoices. Develops and implements Annual Safety Training for ESP staff. Assists in development, implementation and management of the Nutrition budget. Must be able to travel between Harbor ESP sites and participants’ residences and other sites as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics; Master’s degree in Public Health Nutrition, Foods and Nutrition, or Nutrition and Dietetics preferred. Currently licensed in Massachusetts as a Registered Dietitian. Current Serve Safe Manager Certification; MA Food Allergen Certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire) and current BLS certification required. Two years of professional experience providing nutritional counseling and assessments, with at least one year supervising nutrition staff. One year of experience working in geriatrics is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate skills with Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook). EEO Statement:
