Royal Caribbean Group’s Supply Chain Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Category Manager, Indirect Procurement (Technology) reporting to the Director, Indirect Procurement. This position is on site in Miramar, Florida. Position Summary / Job Purpose : Subject matter procurement expert for the assigned to the Indirect Procurement Categories. Research suppliers from a variety of usual and unusual sources. Confers with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule in a total cost of ownership perspective. Essential Duties And Responsibilities : Performs complex price analysis of multiple variables. Develops a procurement and negotiation strategy based on multiple and often complex variables. Negotiates price, availability, quality, service and delivery schedule. Analyzes and incorporates specific market data into negotiations, strategies and plans. Communicates and presents clear strategies, plans and cost impacts to upper management. Attends industry trade shows and conferences. Measures and evaluates suppliers under a Supplier Relationship management program. Contributor to the company's supply chain and procurement policies. Responsible for implementing and driving change. Category management under the strategic sourcing process developing category strategies, stakeholder management, and value creation targets. Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills : 8 + years related procurement experience, category management or specialized technical experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in related field. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities. Negotiation and analytical skills required. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a multicultural environment. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel. Financial Responsibilities : $100,000 expenditure limit. Oversees a multimillion-dollar commodity spend. Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
