Overview AWS Global Sales drives adoption of the AWS cloud worldwide, enabling customers of all sizes to innovate and expand in the cloud. Our team empowers every customer to grow by providing tailored service, unmatched technology, and consistent support. This role focuses on Private Equity (PE) firms, their portfolio companies, and consulting partners to drive technology adoption and business outcomes. In this role you will work directly with Private Equity firms, their portfolio companies and consulting partners to drive the adoption of technology that will allow them to achieve their desired operational business outcomes. You should enjoy learning and introducing new technology in order to help customers, colleagues and partners embrace and adopt new technology. You will provide thought leadership in terms of looking beyond the technology and considering the value that technology creates for our customers. Responsibilities Serve as a key technical member of the Business Development team, helping ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform. Establish technical credibility in sales cycles and credibly drive discussions with CTOs, CIOs, Chief Architects, Senior Developers, etc., from customers and partners across the PE segment. Scope each customer engagement with clear objectives and success criteria. Provide technical & architectural guidance to PE firms and their portfolio companies; help develop cost-optimization strategies using appropriate architecture and AWS pricing models. Collaborate with PE firms and portfolio companies to ensure technical resources are available for success using AWS services. Build rapport with executives at PE firms and portfolio companies, leveraging knowledge of enterprise architecture, M&A, migration, and cost optimization of IT infrastructure and other technologies. Support AWS leadership through platform briefings, roadmaps briefings, and Solution Architect office hours. Support broader AWS customer base with specialized workshops and training sessions. Qualifications Basic 8+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics). 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures. 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries. Preferred 10+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience. Experience working with end user or developer communities. 10+ years of experience in one or more technology domains listed above. Location and compensation details vary by market.
