Domain Managing Architect - Data
to lead our data architecture strategy and execution across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader and hands-on expert in modern data platforms, cloud technologies, data governance, and scalable architecture frameworks. This role partners closely with business and IT leadership, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Architecture, and serves as a key advisor on enterprise data strategy. Responsibilities Design, maintain, and evolve the enterprise-wide data architecture to support strategic goals and modern analytics. Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and business leaders to define and implement enterprise data models and services. Define, maintain and enforce data architecture principles, standards, patterns, and policies. Develop and maintain canonical data models and enable data reusability across business domains. Establish enterprise patterns and standards for data modeling, lineage, metadata, and quality Lead the adoption of modern data platforms including cloud-native (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) data lakes, lakehouses, and data mesh architectures. Oversee the design of scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming data processing, and real-time data integration frameworks. Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, data visualization, knowledge graphs) that enhance data capabilities. Extensive experience overseeing and directing data security initiatives, ensuring compliance with key standards such as PII, PCI, NACHA, SOX, FINRA and HIPAA, while aligning with governance and risk frameworks like NIST and NAIC. Demonstrated experience in enterprise-level processes and controls to meet internal policies and external regulatory data privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, various other state level privacy laws), ensuring practical compliance, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Optimize data performance, scalability, total cost of ownership, and resiliency across platforms. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering and analytics platforms. Proven knowledge of data lake, lakehouse, and data mesh architecture patterns. Extensive experience in data modeling for large-scale data warehouses and enterprise transactional systems, including the design of both OLAP and OLTP data stores. Identify critical data elements, create data catalog and data lineage for reporting and downstream data feeds. Experienced in mentoring teams on ETL/ELT tools, metadata management, and data lineage tools. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt). Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders Exceptional communication and leadership skills in both technical and business contexts Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman). Exposure to vector databases, RAG architecture, or LLM fine-tuning Familiarity with synthetic data, bias mitigation techniques, or explainable AI frameworks Familiarity with DataOps, data observability and CI/CD pipeline Certifications in cloud platforms or data architecture (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Architect Expert).
