This position reports to the CTO and leadsQuality Engineering, Technical Operations (triaging customer‑reported issues), Developer Experience (DevX), and Internal Tools that power the Customer Support organization. You will drive the engineering quality, reliability, and internal tooling agenda to raise the bar for building, testing, and deploying software at scale. Your day-to-day
Defining and executing the roadmap for engineering quality, reliability, and internal tooling Championing a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all engineering functions Partnering with product, design, and engineering leaders to evolve how we build, test, and deploy software Advocating for an agile process and automation‑first culture Leading the Quality Engineering organization, establishing best practices in testing, automation, and CI/CD Driving quality KPIs and metrics for the Engineering organization Overseeing Technical Operations to ensure customer‑reported issues are triaged quickly and resolved with root‑cause accountability Driving improvements in Developer Experience to increase developer velocity, satisfaction, and efficiency Guiding internal tools teams to deliver scalable, impactful tools for Customer Support agents Troubleshooting complex issues, designing solutions, and modeling best practices Mentoring and coaching engineers and managers to develop future leaders What you’ll bring to the team
8+ years of engineering leadership experience Deep experience running Quality / Test Engineering teams Proven success leading engineering organizations across multiple domains, ideally including DevX, Tech Ops, or internal tools Strong technical knowledge with the ability to be hands‑on while scaling teams and systems Track record of improving software development lifecycle processes from build to deploy to monitoring in complex environments Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and building for reliability at scale Experience leading entire engineering organizations is a strong plus Customer‑first mindset with a focus on translating engineering quality into better customer outcomes Excellent leadership skills; able to inspire, mentor, and retain top technical talent Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills; comfortable working cross‑functionally with product, design, and support Bias toward action with ability to balance strategic initiatives with tactical execution Work perks at Greenlight

Greenlight provides a competitive compensation package with a market‑based approach to pay and will vary depending on location, experience and skill set. The total compensation package includes a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401K match, and more. Greenlight conducts continuous compensation evaluations to stay current and competitive. The estimated base pay range for this position in NY, CA, WA is $240,000 – $350,000; in CO it is $240,000 – $295,000.
