Overview
Senior Automation Field Supervisor - Critical Infrastructure at DLB Associates. The role leads mission-critical data center builds, coordinating multi-discipline teams and delivering BAS/PLC/SCADA systems on fast timelines. Responsibilities
Construction and Installation Management (40%): Develop 3-week look-ahead schedules for automation, electrical, and network tasks; coordinate with GC master schedule. Direct field crews on conduit/cable tray installation, panel mounting, device terminations, network bus terminations, and copper and fiber pulls. Enforce QA/QC checkpoints for installation and automation scope. Direct and monitor subcontractors (onsite and offsite) including scheduling, resource management and coordination of construction and start-up services as needed. Startup, Commissioning, and IST Coordination (25%): Coordinate Level2 installation QA checks, Level3 point-to-point checkout, Level4 functional testing, and Level5 IST with internal and external stakeholders including commissioning authority. Manage testing documentation and help drive issue closure with technical staff to ensure schedule compliance. Safety, Risk and Change Management (15%): Champion NFPA70E and OSHA compliance; chair daily toolbox and weekly safety stand-downs. Develop Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and Energized Work Permits; manage live system cutovers. Identify scope gaps, draft RFIs, and prepare field change orders for project managers. Client and Stakeholder Relations (10%): Lead Big-Room coordination meetings with construction teams. Manage site project communication and reporting including site progress updates, 3-week lookaheads, and multimedia collection for DLB staff, subcontractors and vendors. Lead progress walks and present risk mitigation plans to GC and owner executives during site walks. Team Development and Continuous Improvement (10%): Mentor field technicians and project management staff on constructability of large complex builds. Capture lessons learned and update STC field execution standards and digital workflows. Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (ADVANCED LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING) Multi-discipline Expertise: Background as BAS technician, PLC programmer, and/or electrical foreman—with proven skill in low-voltage terminations, conduit routing, loop testing, and network troubleshooting Project Controls: Proficient in CM platforms/tools such as Procore, BIM 360/Autodesk Build, P6 or MS Project, and Power BI dashboards for field metrics Codes & Standards: Uptime Institute Tier III/IV, NFPA70E, NEC, ISA88/95, ISA/IEC62443, UL508A Soft Skills: Authoritative leadership, decisive under schedule pressure, clear communicator with both trades and C-suite clients Certifications: OSHA 30, NFPA70E Qualified Person, PMP, NICETIII/IV (Industrial Instrumentation), Rockwell CREST MS Office Suite proficiency and strong organizational skills Ability to work in remote environments with effective communication and self-motivation Ability to interpret AE construction drawings, BAS shop drawings, wiring diagrams, standards documentation, submittals and product data sheets Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and drive innovation Compliance with safety requirements and ability to manage documents and correspondence Effective communication with clients and internal teams Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; ability to plan and delegate work NFPA70E and/or OSHA training certification as required Maintain organized jobsite and multitask effectively Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Physical Demands

Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Technology, or related field Minimum eight years of hands-on experience with installation, testing, validation, construction management, subcontractor management, and troubleshooting of PLC-based BAS and EPMS automation systems in mission-critical buildings Benefits
