The World Bank Group is a large source of funding and knowledge for developing countries. ITS (Information and Technology Solutions) provides information systems and technology services to the Bank’s business units. This position is within WBG Risk Management and Analytics (ITSRA) in ITS Finance. Responsibilities

Act as Business Analyst for Capital Markets line of business within Treasury, including Liquidity Management, Issuances, buybacks, derivatives, valuations, trade life cycle, accounting, debt allocation and related applications. Build stakeholder consensus and ensure alignment on proposed solutions. Develop business cases, requirements, use cases, test plans/strategies/cases, and operational procedures. Coordinate with Enterprise Architects and other reviewers, providing information for security testing. Participate in procurement of COTS solutions, including RFPs, cost estimates, benefits realization, and IT governance inputs. Prioritize requirements effectively and manage scope. Document business processes and workflows. Collaborate with Project Managers, Tech Leads, Solution Architects, Developers to assess feasibility and timelines. Use rapid prototyping to illustrate as-is/to-be processes and rough designs. Provide design, testing, and post‑launch support; assist in training material development and user training. Maintain a chronological trail of requirements and support project change control processes. Evaluate new products or initiatives to determine technology support needs. Evaluate applications and IT environments and identify gaps between current and desired states. Propose recommendations based on industry best practices. Coordinate with vendors and oversee deliverables, including reviewing proposed solutions and code. Train business users on applications. Uphold established BA processes and quality standards. In a post-production environment troubleshoot systems and provide solutions to business and technical teams. Knowledge Required and Selection Criteria

Lead with keen business analytic ability to optimize efficiency and communication skills. Excellent knowledge of capital markets business; up-to-date SDLC practices; cross-functional perspective bridging business and IT; strong ability to prioritize requirements. Ability to adapt to changing corporate objectives and strong IT governance understanding. Experience in Project Management and related facets. In-depth understanding of WB Loans products (including IDA), risk management (liquidity risk), Treasury & Capital Markets (Fixed-Income & derivatives), trade lifecycle (trade capture, settlement, accounting). Knowledge of instruments (Plain Vanilla and Structured), market data, reporting, front and back office processes, and external/internal ratings. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Finance, MBA or related field; 3+ years in Capital markets domain. Excellent verbal and written communication; solid BA experience; ability to present concepts to senior audiences with clear assumptions and dependencies. Strong teamwork, consensus-building, integrity, and ability to mentor staff. Proficiency in MS Excel and SQL; strong organizational skills and ability to close on tasks. Ideal (Additional Qualifications)

CFA candidate or degree in Risk Management. Strong organizational skills and business judgment; track record of delivering under deadlines. Strategic vision to translate client needs into IT deliverables. Desirable knowledge of VBA, PL/SQL, and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI). Knowledge of capital markets trading systems (e.g., Murex or Summit) and project management experience. WBG Culture Attributes
