Overview

The House Manager is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day functions in the house. This includes ensuring the well-being and safety of the people supported through person-centered approaches, supporting the residential staff in the home, and maintaining all logistics related to the home such as but not limited to appointment scheduling, staff coverage, and house maintenance requests. Ensure that people who receive services have opportunities to develop meaningful relationships in accordance with their person-centered plan and team input Ensure that the people who receive services have opportunities to develop membership in social groups and communities and receive assistance, modeling, coaching, and support in doing so Ensure that all services comply with COMAR, Center for Medicaid Services, and Board of Nursing regulations, accreditation standards, and The Arc Baltimore’s policies and procedures Report all incidents as required by the Office of Health Care Quality and The Arc Baltimore in the iCM system Communicate with the clinical services department and supervisor for any emotional or mental health issues of supported individuals. Implement behavior support plans as required As part of the Person-Centered Planning process, assist and document progress toward individual outcomes, goals, and strategies Ensure medical services for individuals who receive services are completed as required and as delegated by the nurse and physician Regularly check supported individuals’ prescribed medications and treatments to ensure updated orders, proper administration, documentation, and monitoring per MTTP training from the MBON Maintain Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification in accordance with MBON guidelines In conjunction with the Community Living Coordinator, participate in hiring processes including interviewing, training, coaching, supervising, and mentoring Direct Support Professionals Conduct and document one-on-one supervision meetings with staff at least once per quarter Coordinate training of all assigned staff on person-centered plan training checklist with the Holistic Support Manager annually when the new plan takes effect Conduct and document monthly house meetings with staff and people who receive supports Work cooperatively with intra- and external agency professionals and stakeholders to implement The Arc Baltimore’s mission, including supporting people in their employment aspirations Regularly communicate with family, friends, other service providers and advocates of the supported individuals to keep open lines of communication Use iCM to ensure accurate and timely input of all medical and PCP data, and update other information pertinent to the individual Meet and communicate with the delegating nurse for the home to address health and medical concerns; review and sign all 45-day nursing reviews in iCM, and ensure all staff read and sign Ensure employees are scheduled for shifts as budgeted, monitor overtime, and use the time management system per agency policies Ensure all grocery and supply shopping is done for the home and provide receipts for Imprest and PEX on assigned dates Ensure the home is clean and free from safety hazards Ensure staff are properly oriented to the home in accordance with safety guidelines for emergency preparedness Ensure proper food purchases align with the diets of the supported individuals Submit monthly site inspections in iCM and follow up on identified issues; complete maintenance requests in iCM Ensure Community Living vehicles are inspected as required; complete and submit monthly vehicle logs Attend all required meetings and trainings Fulfill other assigned job duties Qualifications

Required: Must be at least 20 years of age High school diploma or G.E.D required 3 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities Valid driver’s license (not provisional) with a clean driving record Must be able to transport people supported as needed Preferred: Must have reliable transportation and be able to get to work when needed. Must also have a valid driver’s license, transport people supported as needed and meet the agency’s driving requirements.
