Insomniac is hiring a PR Specialist to join our vibrant, growth-minded culture rooted in respect, creativity, and connection. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, independent thinker who develops creative yet pragmatic communications strategies to share Insomniac’s story and engage audiences across media channels within the music industry and broader media landscape. Preference for this role is based in Calabasas, CA, or Las Vegas, NV. Responsibilities

Media Relations & Communications: Develop and execute strategies to support Insomniac’s communications goals; create, cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media across music, entertainment, lifestyle, and general news outlets; support media outreach and press opportunities around live events, festivals, charitable programs, and company announcements; manage media inquiries, coordinate interviews, and prepare spokespersons with key messaging. Content Development & Distribution: Draft press releases, media alerts, pitches, and other written materials; partner with social media and content teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across channels; contribute ideas to strengthen visibility and thought leadership within the industry and community. Media Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and ensure accurate brand representation; track, measure, and report PR results, providing insights for continuous improvement. Campaign & Project Management: Lead projects from concept to completion, collaborating with internal teams and external partners; train and provide support in onboarding team members, clients, vendors and partners when needed; manage other projects and initiatives as identified. Philanthropy & Community Engagement: Support planning, coordination, and execution of philanthropy initiatives including charity auctions, fundraising events, and community campaigns; manage timelines, budgets, and ensure philanthropic messaging is integrated across marketing, PR, and on-site activations; help maintain impact reporting and storytelling that highlights charitable impact. Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in PR, media relations and/or journalism. Strategic thinker with a program management background and a proven track record of meaningful results. Able to quickly assess situations, turn obstacles into opportunities, and make decisions under time constraints with a full workload. Able to create and edit a variety of communications that meet company standards, on deadline. A modern communicator with interest and experience in integrated campaigns. Able to work effectively and collaboratively with all personality types and with remote teams anywhere in the world. Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills. Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, journalism, or business, or equivalent work experience. Work Environment

Must enjoy working in dynamic, fast-paced environments and open office spaces, with often immediate deadlines, loud noise levels and varied event locations. Must be able to manage time and workload while maintaining a can-do attitude, including working evenings and weekend hours when necessary. Legal & Compliance
