MEDICAL DIRECTOR (MD)
The Medical Director position is based at the Boriken Neighborhood Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) NCQA-accredited Patient-Centered Medical Home serving East Harlem and surrounding communities offering a full array of comprehensive primary and preventive care services for all ages, specialty care, and the Boriken Pharmacy. Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer of the East Harlem Council for Human Services, Inc. (Council), oversee all clinical activities of the Boriken Neighborhood Health Center and all programs of the Council. Qualifications
Graduate of approved medical school Completion of approved residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Board Certified required New York State Medical License DEA registration ACLS / BLS certificate Infection control certificate Experience as an outpatient practitioner Medical Leadership experience required Medical Director or Associate Medical Director experience optional but preferred Bilingual Spanish preferred Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of principles and practices of medicine Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers preferred Knowledge of Patient Centered Medical Home principles preferred Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Active NYS Medicaid/Medicare Provider # required Schedule
Full time, typically 1 Saturday every six weeks is required with a flexible work schedule for that week. Compensation
Competitive salary, dependent on years of experience, $265K-275K per year. Retirement plan (403b, 2% of annual salary). CME reimbursement ($1250 per calendar year after a year of employment). Reimbursement for renewal of NYS Medical License and DEA. Available loan repayment options (NHSC, Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program). Possible sign-on bonus. Benefits
