Naval Architect - Clearance Required with Security Clearance
Cydecor is seeking a Naval Architect to provide support to a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) customer. This role will design, build, and maintain Unmanned Systems (UxSs) in PMS 406's portfolio. The successful candidate will use knowledge of hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, flotation and stability, structures, arrangements, and construction, and cost and survivability assessment to synthesize the often conflicting demands from competing design constraints to determine the most balanced designs for UxSs. Responsibilities will include performing design and analysis activities related to hovercraft, ships, boats, and other marine systems, working collaboratively with goal-oriented project teams, and managing task requirements and work execution timelines. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with 1+ year of relevant experience for a junior position, 4+ years for a mid-level position, and 10+ years for a senior position. Experience with Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks is also required. Design, build, and maintain Unmanned Systems (UxSs) in PMS 406's portfolio. Perform design and analysis activities related to hovercraft, ships, boats, and other marine systems. Work collaboratively with goal-oriented project teams. Manage task requirements and work execution timelines. Utilize spreadsheets to program first-principle and empirical design equations. Generate high-quality design and analysis reports.
