Job Description The Event Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for managing event sales, confirming meetings and events, and achieving monthly booking goals. Key responsibilities include: Managing a market in Event Sales and confirming meetings and events. Servicing definite groups, acting as a liaison between the hotel and clients. Conducting prospecting efforts to generate new business opportunities. Assisting Event Services based on business levels and needs. EVENT SALES Responsibilities include: Achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and yearly personal sales goals. Participating in daily lead meetings to maximize revenues. Accurately forecasting individual booking revenue and cancellations. Establishing a client base of organizations, associations, social, and corporate businesses. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT Responsibilities include: Conducting prospecting efforts to build a pipeline of business opportunities. Obtaining complete knowledge of competitive set hotels. Relationship management with outside catering venues. Qualifications Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree and two years of event experience. Progressive experience in a similar capacity is a definite asset. Working knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
