Center for the Visual Arts
The Center for the Visual Arts (CVA) is seeking a full-time Executive Director to enhance the thriving visual arts community and achieve the Mission which is to engage all people in the visual arts and add to the livability of the north central Wisconsin region. The Executive Director is responsible for strategic priorities development and implementation along with the management of all facets of the CVA. Such management and activities under the supervision include finance and budgeting, grant-writing, fundraising and development activities, marketing, gallery shows, and regular contact with the CVA Board of Directors. The Executive Director will actively be involved in community activities and represent the CVA at events and community functions. The position is full-time and reports directly to the Board of Directors.

The Center for Visual Arts (CVA) is a vibrant arts nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the Wausau region through engaging exhibitions, a juried gallery shop, and accessible arts education for all ages, empowering creativity and enriching our community. Responsibilities
Directs and leads strategy development in collaboration with the CVA Board of Directors. Manages finances and the budget process. Researches, prepares, and submits grant applications to appropriate sources or other necessary sponsorship sources. Coordinates all marketing and public relations activities. Identifies, develops, and oversees new potential revenue sources. Works with staff and Board of Directors to support CVA activities, special projects, events, and fundraisers and programs. Supervises the CVA Shop, including staff, volunteers, and artists. Supervises the Accountant in all aspects of their position, including bookkeeping and finances. Collaborates closely with the CVA Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Board President on all relevant CVA matters. Other duties needed to help fulfill the Mission and abide by the organization’s values. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Arts, Arts Administration, Arts Education, Business or related field Master's Degree or equivalent job experience is a plus Experience in marketing, fundraising, grant writing, and nonprofit management preferred Strong organizational, planning, and research skills Must be able to work special events outside of normal business hours Knowledge of a wide variety of art mediums and current trends in Visual Arts Pay and Benefits
Bi-weekly pay frequency on Fridays Salary based on a standard 40-hour work week; additional hours may be required 14 days of PTO (based on 40 hours) after completion of first 90 days Staff are encouraged to participate in CVA classes and workshops with a 50% discount 20% discount on all CVA shop purchases and Gallery purchases Additional Details
