The Clinical Director oversees the Wellness department with the goal of providing a safe, homelike environment where residents can achieve and maintain their fullest level of wellness and function. The Clinical Director uses sound leadership principles to maintain a motivated and stable team. Manages resident health and wellness through regular resident monitoring and communication with the Wellness team, residents’ primary care providers, and other health services providers. Engages in ongoing personal development in geriatric care and leadership skills. May be asked to assume responsibilities of the Executive Director in their absence to maintain smooth community operation. Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies at all times. Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all residents, employees, families, and community guests. Ensure orientation and welcoming process for new residents and new team members. Hire, train, and supervise the Wellness team. Provide mentorship and development of the Wellness team. Encourage teamwork, promote wellness philosophy, and support open communication and collaborative problem solving. Lead by example. Actively protect resident and employee safety by recognizing, reporting, and taking action to minimize risk of accidents or injury. Observe signs of resident abuse or neglect and take immediate action to prevent harm. Report incidents according to community policy and state laws. Ensure infection control guidelines are met and tracking and surveillance procedures are followed according to community and state requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (state licensing, accrediting bodies), as well as company policy and procedure. Ensure employee immunization and related tracking are complete. Maintain adequate staffing levels that meet program and clinical needs based on resident acuity, state regulations, contracts, and budgets. Conduct regular in-service and team meetings. Qualifications / Critical Success Factors

Current active unencumbered nursing degree valid in the state of employment Current license/certification as required by regulatory bodies Minimum of one year experience in assisted living or health care Prior supervisory and leadership experience in health care (strongly preferred) Current CPR certification as required by regulatory bodies Any other state-specific certifications as required by regulatory bodies We are an equal opportunity employer.
