Randstad is seeking a highly skilled UX/UI Designer to join our client's team in the Washington D.C. area, specifically to support the critical re-design of our core booking flow in conjunction with a backend reservation system migration. This role demands a strong focus on user experience flows and customer research, translating complex system requirements into intuitive, accessible, and high-performing front-end user interfaces. The ideal candidate will master the end-to-end design process, ensuring all digital products-from low-fidelity wireframes to final specifications-adhere to best practices in mobile-first design, accessibility (WCAG/ADA), and data-informed iteration within an Agile (SAFe/Scrum) environment. Bachelors Responsibilities

Lead the re-design and optimization of the end-to-end booking and reservation flow, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. Create a range of design artifacts, including detailed user flow diagrams and low- to high-fidelity wireframes for commerce front-end screens. Develop robust, clickable prototypes for efficient user testing and validation with stakeholders and end users, specifically focusing on the transaction flow. Conduct and synthesize customer research to inform design decisions, including data from analytics, heatmaps, and A/B testing. Define detailed interaction states that logically tie to and reflect complex backend reservation system responses and requirements. Apply and enforce consistent UI patterns, corporate branding, and established accessibility standards across all designs. Ensure all front-end designs meet rigorous WCAG and ADA accessibility requirements. Provide timely design clarifications and support to development teams during Agile/Scrum sprints. Create comprehensive design documentation and specifications for effective developer handoff. Qualifications

Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role, preferably in an e-commerce or digital product environment. Proficiency in design tools, especially Figma, for wireframing, prototyping, and collaboration. Solid understanding and practical application of responsive and mobile-first design principles. Demonstrated experience in utilizing and contributing to design systems and component-based design thinking. Familiarity with WCAG and ADA accessibility best practices and a commitment to inclusive design. Experience operating within a SAFe or Scrum Agile framework, including participation in design sprints. Ability to conduct data-informed design using analytics, heatmaps, and A/B testing to guide product decisions. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, QA).
